Biography
Hiroko Kanasugi (金杉 弘子, Kanasugi Hiroko) is a Japanese screenwriter from Tokyo, Japan. She is a member of the Japan Screenwriters Federation. She was originally a writer for variety shows and radio programs. She made her debut as a screenwriter in 2001 with the TV drama Yappari neko ga suki (I Like Cats). She is a multi-talented writer who is active in a wide range of fields, including screenplays for movies, anime and TV dramas, as well as radio, children's television programs and lyrics. She was the exclusive scriptwriter for the anime Jewelpet series. In Okaasan to Issho (Mom and Issan), she wrote the original puppet show Poco Potteito, and also wrote the lyrics for almost all the songs. She also participated in Monoran Monoran as one of the screenplay writers, and is also in charge of the opening theme and the lyrics of some insert songs.
